With a genuine understanding of people, Dr. Ling has yet again reached out to demonstrate his remarkable caring and skills
Excepts from a personal chat with Dr. Ling...
Dr. Andrew Ling's personal Australian Medical Outreach was founded in January 2011 as a means of bringing together a series of outreach medical work that he was directly responsible for, and also a platform for his future dreams and goals.

Dr. Ling wished to add to this work the ethos that drives it, in short that genuine caring for those in need is an important foundation of the health care industry. He feels that it is through the giving of care to others we open ourselves to be cared for.

"It is in giving that we receive" is his daily motto and driving force behind his
dedication to his patients. Dr. Lings approach is largely about the whole person and this includes looking at spiritual aspects of the person requiring care. Every person requires caring and love, though it is not something that can be scientifically quantified.

Yet research can show the value of such love and care and its healing power. Likewise the lack of positive emotion in one's life can be proven to have negative aspects on a person's health.

We can look at Dr. Ling's life to see his involvement in organisations such as Rotary and Interplast to get an idea of just how dedicated this man is in contributing to creating a better society. It is his desire to help each individual person as each individual needs to be helped. He sees that no two people are the same and therefore each and every
patient deserves to be treated uniquely and as a whole person. Emotionally, physically mentally and spiritually.

Alcare is Dr. Ling's vision of a holistic approach. "A persons health should not
become political, ever".The overall genuine ethos of Alcare is to help others. This is the core focus and school of thought that has brought the Alcare team together in its ambition to care and love all people in need. Alcare's simple summary is: It's a genuine holistic approach where people come first.

Dr. Ling says that in writing 'Acupuncture Demystified' he wanted to write a book that would stand on its own two feet. It had to be an evidence based book. "Im putting in western medicine evidence of how acupuncture works, and it is my hope that this might
lead to further scientific research".

Dr. Ling is rewarded in life by the knowledge that he has helped people. "Its only if its going to help people that I am prepared to step out of my comfort zone and step into the limelight".

This is very true of Dr. Ling who is a gentle man, quick with a smile , and very much at home talking with his patients on a one-to-one basis. Dr. Ling believes in the ideals of Alcare. He feels that time is his main limitation as a doctor and says that if there we only more than 24 hrs in a day he could be helping more and more people. He has a positive outlook on life and doesn't let little things worry him. He also tries to steer clear of politics, as he says: "politics in the medical profession gets you moving in only one direction and having to choose only one side is distracting."

Research has show the value of love and care and its healing power. Likewise the lack of positive emotion in one's life can be proven to have

negative aspects on a person's health.

It is his desire to help each individual person as each individual needs to be helped. He sees that no two people are the same and therefore each and every
patient deserves to be treated uniquely and as a whole person. Emotionally, physically mentally and spiritually.

There also is a responsibility on the patients behalf in that they need to take health issues seriously and do their part. He says: "They can't just run around and run amok and then depend on people to stitch them up. People need to heed the advice from doctors and learn to act responsibly".
